WELCOME TO THE

Boys & Girls Club of Rutland County

Open to youth ages 6-18
Great Futures Start Here

This is a critical time for youth in Rutland County, and The Boys & Girls Club is focusing on getting prevention to our youth at an earlier age. Our curriculum for the 2015-16 school year is called SMART DIRECTIONS and is derived from the evidence based drug/alcohol education program called SMART MOVES that is offered by the Boys & Girls Clubs of America. Our efforts will be supported by the newly formed Project Vision, a three pronged strategy approach: Prevention, Treatment and Enforcement.

The work of the Boys and Girls club in Rutland is critical to the collaborative efforts underway in Rutland to address the opiate abuse issues, the issues around family violence and the associated disorder in neighborhoods. The effort to have positive role models in kid's lives is at the core of prevention. The Boys and Girls Club plays a leading role in those efforts,

City of Rutland Chief of Police James W. Baker.
